Tell us about the job
Send the basics and we will get back to you to arrange a look. If it is urgent — storm damage, a tree down — ring instead.
The difference, on real jobs
Drag the slider across to see the same spot before we started and after we finished. Every photo here is from a job we have actually done — no stock images of other people's gardens.
Four things, done well
Whether it is one tree that has got too big for the garden or a full year of maintenance, it is the same team turning up.
Tree Surgery
Felling, dismantling, crown work, deadwooding, pollarding and stump grinding — plus storm damage call-outs when a tree has come down and cannot wait.
See what this involvesHedge Cutting
Trimming, shaping and reducing hedges, taming overgrown conifer and leylandii, and taking hedges out altogether where they have outgrown the garden.
See what this involvesAll Aspects of Garden Work
Grass cutting, strimming, borders, weeding, planting, turfing, fencing, full clearances and regular maintenance rounds — one visit or all year.
See what this involvesPower Washing
Driveways, patios, decking, paths, block paving, walls and garden furniture brought back to the colour they were, with block paving re-sanded afterwards.

You get in touch
Ring us or send the form. Tell us roughly what you are after — a photo helps but is not essential.
We come and look
We see the job in person. Access, waste, what is realistic and what is not. That is the only way to price it honestly.
You get a fixed price
A clear price for clearly described work, with no obligation to go ahead. If a job needs council consent, we tell you before you commit.
We do the work
We turn up when we said, do what we quoted, and take the waste with us. You should not be able to tell we were there, apart from the garden.
Our guarantee
If you are not happy with any part of the work, tell us before we leave — or ring within 14 days — and we will come back and put it right at no charge. That covers the work we carried out. It does not cover new growth, storm damage after we have left, or plants that fail to take. This is on top of your legal rights, not instead of them.

Job photos are going up here shortly
Real photographs from our own jobs are being added. We would rather show nothing than show someone else's garden and call it ours.
What customers say

We do not copy review text onto our own website — Google's terms do not allow it, and reviews pasted onto a site go out of date the moment they are pasted. The button below takes you straight to our profile so you can read them where they were left.
The bits other people forget to mention
Tree and hedge work in this country is not a free-for-all, and getting it wrong is expensive. Part of the job is knowing what applies before anything gets cut.
- Protected trees. If a tree has a Tree Preservation Order on it, or stands in a conservation area, work needs council consent or six weeks' written notice. We check with the relevant council first — Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn, Ribble Valley, Burnley, Chorley or Preston, depending where you are.
- Nesting birds. It is a criminal offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to damage an active nest. Between roughly March and August we check hedges before cutting, and if there is a nest in there, that section waits.
Storm damage or a tree down?
If a tree or a large limb has come down and is blocking access, sitting on a roof or hanging over a road, ring rather than emailing. Do not go near it if it is anywhere close to a power line — that is a call to the network operator, not to us.
Things we will never do
Quote a tree job without seeing it, cut a protected tree without consent, top a tree that should be reduced properly, leave your waste for you to deal with, or pressure you into deciding on the doorstep.

Questions we get asked
Do you charge for a quote?
No. Quotes are free and there is no obligation. We come out, look at the job properly, and give you a price for clearly described work.
How soon can you come out?
It depends on the time of year — hedge and grass work gets busy through spring and summer. Storm damage and anything unsafe gets priority. Ring and we will tell you honestly where you would be in the queue.
Do you take the waste away?
Yes, unless you would rather keep the woodchip or logs, which some people do. Anything we take away goes with us on the day.
Do you work in winter?
Yes. Winter is actually the best time for a lot of tree work — the leaves are off, you can see the structure of the tree, and the ground damage is easier to manage. Hedge cutting is also better done outside the nesting season.
Can you work if there is no rear access?
Usually. Plenty of gardens around Blackburn have no side gate at all. It changes how the job is run — smaller sections, more carrying, floors sheeted where we come through the house — and that is factored into the quote rather than sprung on you afterwards.
