Why our Google reviews stay on Google
You will find plenty of trade websites showing a wall of five-star quotes. The trouble with any of them, ours included, is that the website owner controls every word on their own site. A review is worth far more where the business cannot touch it.
So we do not lift our Google reviews across, for two solid reasons:
- Google's terms do not allow it. Review content on Google Business Profiles cannot be scraped and republished elsewhere. Sites that do it are breaking the terms they agreed to.
- Copied reviews go stale immediately. A review pasted onto a website in March still says the same thing in three years, even if the business has changed hands.
They stay on Google, where they are dated, attributed and outside our control, and the link takes you there. If we later pull them in live through Google's own Places API, they will appear on this page properly — still Google's data, still current.
You will also notice we do not display a star rating or a review count anywhere on this site. Those belong to Google's listing, and marking them up on our own pages is specifically against Google's guidelines.
Read them where they were left
Our Google Business Profile shows every review, good and bad, with dates and the reviewer's name.
Find us on Facebook
We post recent jobs and photos on Facebook, which is usually the most up-to-date picture of what we are doing.
Listed elsewhere
The trade directories and review sites we are genuinely on. Reviews left there are outside our control too, which is rather the point.
